According to media reports, the 37-year-old female celebrity, who has a foreign nationality and is a former member of a famous South Korean girl group in the 1990s, borrowed 350 million won (about 2.135 million yuan) from a Seoul hotel-casino in June for gambling but hasn't paid it back. Besides, she is also accused of borrowing 250 million won ($1.55 million yuan) from friend C in early June which she still hasn't returned yet.
The case is currently being handled by the Seoul Eastern District Court and prosecutors have begun an investigation into the fraud case.
