South Korean actress Jang Ja Yeon who shot to fame through the television series Boys Over Flowers committed suicide in 2009 at age 29, leaving behind notes that said she was forced by her agency to have sex with high-profile figures.
An actress identified only as Yoon revealed on July 24 episode of MBC's 'PD Note' that Jang Ja Yeon was sexually abused by a politician surnamed Cho.
"It was forceful. They told her to stand on the table. She went on top of the table and danced and sang. He dragged her and made her sit on his lap. I remember Jang tried to stand up multiple times but was forced to sit down again and again. He also touched her body parts," Yoon said.
In June 2018, the prosecution decided to reinvestigate her case.
